ABOUT US
"If you can get a whole lot of people doing a little bit, you can make a difference."
The EIMB Scholarship was created in 1998 to ensure deserving children with limited resources, who may go overlooked by other scholarship programs, are still able to go to college. The scholarship, which stands for Education Increases Mental Brawn (EIMB), was created by former Peachtree Packaging CEO Terry Roof to give back to the community. To raise money for the scholarship, Roof and his friends started an annual golf tournament.
In it's 20+ years, EIMB has awarded scholarships to local Gwinnett HS students from each of Gwinnett County’s public high schools. Scholarship recipients must have a 3.0 grade point average, a 1,000 or greater SAT score, notable extracurricular resumes and demonstrated financial need. Students also must be nominated by someone at their school via a letter of recommendation.
